“Poverty and disease go hand in hand. You can’t solve one piece of the equation without addressing the other.” Nurses for the Nations
Nurses for the Nations works with Churches, charitable entities, professional nurse organizations and faith-based organizations to support countries with targeted health initiatives and projects that promote incentives for health, welfare, spiritual, social and economic opportunities at the village level. We incorporate the transformational approach in our professional practice, understanding that disease, spiritual bankrupcy and poverty go hand in hand. In addition, Nurses for the Nations understands the multidisciplinary approach to nursing care, and as ‘nursing leaders’ of indigenous care, endorse disciplines to work along side us to foster holistic intervention and transformation.
Our partnerships are based on principles of transparency, mutual work and participation. We support the indigenous at the grass root level in order to affect life-giving change through teaching, training, education and medical outreach strategy. We work with international churches and local churches to build bridges as collaborative partners: assisting in processes and plans that help villagers ‘own’ their communities by involving them in restorative projects that instill hope, transform lives and impact the social community for Christ.
